Amethyst Resort Passikudah

The swimming pool is excellent, boasting a five-star quality, and the spacious rooms offer a serene river view that's perfect for unwinding. The access to a beautiful swimming beach makes for a great spot to soak up some sun.

The restaurant's breakfast choices are uninspiring and may not satisfy expectations, with a limited selection and stale items. Lack of sunbeds and umbrellas posed a nuisance, with guests resorting to reserving their spots early. This shouldn't happen in a four-star hotel. Housekeeping also fell short, with insufficient toiletries and a slow response to requests for extra tea bags.

The location was stunning - so close to the beech, the lovely beach and Passekudah Bay. Our room was reasonably large complete with great facilities, massive beds and cable TV, great value for money compared to other hotels.

Had an amazing stay at Amethyst! The beachfront location was fine, and the room service was prompt. Special shoutout to Paul for making our anniversary dinner lovely with a beach setup! Only hiccup was some miscommunication about room rates, but overall, a great experience.

Got a rich breakfast served. The booked room was air conditioned and beautifully decorated with large bathrooms.

The pool was good and I had cold drinks in the main bar. I ate at a nice restaurant with the buffet and very attentive and friendly stuff at the restaurant. The hotel had a stunning and awesome location, about 5 minutes' walk from the city center...

The river view from our room was fine. Unfortunately, the food offerings lacked variety. Facilities like the bicycle rental added fun for exploring.

The housekeeping could improve on amenities, as we had to ask for additional tea bags. While the staff were cute, the communication regarding rates and reservations led to some confusion, which affected our dining experience.

The sandy beach location is great, right by the public beach, lovely to see. The pool was excellent, and we loved our river view room. It's perfect for soaking up some sun, and you can easily walk to the nearby village with charming restaurants.

Lovely Family Getaway with Fine Views

The river view room offered amazing scenery, perfect for relaxation. Celebrating my son's birthday was extra special thanks to the staff. The peaceful ambiance provided a much-needed escape from city life. Pro tip, ask for fresh fruit at breakfast for a refreshing start.

The gorgeous pool and fine sea views were perfect. We played billiards and enjoyed the beach, beautiful and clean. The staff were friendly. If you're looking for a fun getaway, this spot is ideal for a group vacation.

It was just an excellent fit for strolling around in Passikudah with reasonable value. The river view from my room was really nice. Bring some snacks since the food options can be limited.

Beautiful beach, lovely staff, the outdoor swimming pool was a highlight for my stay as it offered a refreshing escape after exploring the local area.

Fine beach vibes in Passikudah 🌊🏖️

The river view room was flipping amazing, so tranquil for a good chill sesh. Brekkie had a lekker spread, especially the Sri Lankan dishes-death by coconut roti! Pool was spacious and not too crowded, perfect for lounging around with mates.

Just a bit slow on the service side, but nothing too hectic-we're on island time, right?

The breakfast offered a wide selection of delicious Sri Lankan and local foods at the same rate as bed and breakfast, and the location by the river was convenient for transportation.
